PropertyDeepDive ("we," "us," "our") operates propertydeepdive.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate the Service:

• Account information: email address and name when you create an account.
• Authentication data: password hashes (PBKDF2, never stored in plaintext) and session tokens stored in an HttpOnly cookie.
• Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not see or store your full card number. We retain only the subscription status and a Stripe customer ID.
• Usage data: daily property-lookup counts, tied to your account, used for enforcing tier limits.
• Aggregate analytics: anonymous traffic statistics provided by Cloudflare (page views, country, browser). No third-party tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain your account and subscription.
• Process payments and deliver access to Pro features.
• Enforce daily lookup limits for each tier.
• Communicate about your account, billing, or material changes to the Service.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the service providers we rely on to operate:

• Stripe — payment processing. Governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — hosting, edge compute, analytics. Governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PropertyDeepDive, our users, or others.

4. Cookies

We use a single essential HttpOnly cookie (pdd_auth) to keep you signed in. It is marked SameSite=Strict and is not accessible to client-side scripts. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records for payments). Anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2. Traffic is served over HTTPS. Authentication cookies are HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict. Payments are handled by Stripe's PCI-DSS–compliant infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
• Export your account data.
• Withdraw consent or object to certain uses.
• File a complaint with a data-protection authority.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Users

PropertyDeepDive is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
